Proteus SW 0.8 offers a maximum of useful technological features:

Applications

SW 0.8 was designed for the realization of compact subwoofers suitable for even the smallest living room. Its integrated subsonic filtering allows the use of small subwoofer drivers with diameters from ca. 15 cm. For optimum performance we recommend the use of drivers with a diameter from 17-22 cm and a power handling of 100 W. 

 

Elegant design

The 4 mm aluminium front is brushed and anodised. Rounded corners allow the flush mounting of the SW 0.8 to give your subwoofer that factory-made, professional look. All cinch sockets are gold-plated and the pots are of the closed type. A new etching technology makes sure that the printing is protected against abrasion.

 

 

Connectivity

Two gold-plated cinch sockets are offered for the left and right outputs of a preamplifier. A second set of cinch sockets works as a signal splitter for the satellite amplifier. By connecting the Proteus SW0.8 directly to the loudspeaker outputs, it is also possible to employ an integrated amplifier that does not offer separate preamplifier outputs. The amplifier's output power should not exceed 2 x 100 W on 4 ohms. 


Easy operation

The SW08 is automatically switched on and off by its auto power-on circuitry. With its adjustable crossover frequency and the phase switch, you can easily align your subwoofer with the existing audio system.

Convenient adjustment of loudness level

The optional external level control allows setting the subwoofer level directly from the front of the subwoofer's enclosure.

Note: 
Each SW 0.8 is delivered with a set of ten mounting screws and a power cord. The external level control is available optionally. We recommend installing the SW 0.8 unit in its separate sub-enclosure.
